Jean Wen 50 Years Shine-Dalgarno Symposium 2023

Jean Wen

Jean Wen received her PhD in Computational Biology from Australian National University (ANU). Since her PhD, she has trained at the Bioinformatics Center at the Copenhagen University, Denmark, and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), New York. In 2017, Wen returned to ANU to take up an ARC Future Fellowship. Her research group uses genomics, computational/statistical methods, machine learning techniques, and deep sequencing approaches combined with experimental validation to explore diverse modes of gene regulatory networks. These include post-transcriptional gene regulation by small RNAs, structural RNAs, and RNA binding proteins, and transcriptional regulation by transcription factors and epigenetic regulation by investigation of the function of histone acetylation.
